Anne Ciecko is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication and
Interdepartmental Film Program at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. She is the author of many articles on Asian & Asian diaspora cinema, and editor of the forthcoming book: CONTEMPORARY ASIAN CINEMA: POPULAR CULTURE IN A GLOBAL FRAME (Berg Publishers, February 2006)
