Apr 4: World Cup Cricket and More

This week on Wednesday, April 4th we have two segments; one on the Cricket world cup and the another about high school students from Houston visiting a non-profit organization in Ahmedabad, India

In our cricket segment, we will be covering the Cricket World Cup currently being played in the Caribbean in an interview with noted columnist Prem Panicker. Mr. Panicker is a well known Indian cricket journalist who has been writing for a long time on Indian news portal rediff.com. He also used to be the managing editor for India Abroad, the largest Indian-American newspaper. He also blogs about Cricket at http://prempanix.blogspot.com.

In our second segment, we will be talking with Mukti Dave, a teacher from YES College Preparatory School in Houston. YES schools focus on preparing kids from underprivileged neighborhoods/low income families for college. The school recently initiated a program where they take students to developing countries to work on non-profit projects. Mukti will discuss their upcoming trip to Ahmedabad, India to work with Manav Sadhana a non-profit org that focuses on initiatives for underprivileged women and children.
